Control Systems Society (CSS) Chapter

The Control Systems Society Chapter is a newly-formed chapter of IEEE Switzerland Section.

Welcome to the webpage of the Swiss Chapter of the IEEE Control Systems Society

The goal of the Chapter is to establish a common umbrella, under the banner of the IEEE Switzerland Section, for promoting advancements in the area of systems and control, strengthening links between industry and academia, and fostering the exchange of ideas between students interested in automation.

To this purpose, the Chapter organizes lectures by renowned experts, co-sponsor PhD schools and initiatives for continuing education, and co-sponsor relevant conferences and workshops in automatic control that take place in Switzerland.

The Chapter also aims at providing a channel for advertising initiatives of the IEEE Control Systems Society at large.

Winner of the IEEE CSS Swiss Chapter Young Author Best Journal Paper Award 2024

  • the candidate must be a member of IEEE-CSS Swiss Chapter;
  • the candidate must be 35 years old or younger;
  • the candidate must be one of the authors of the nominated paper, published in the past two calendar years on the following society journals: IEEE Control Systems Magazine; IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control; IEEE Transactions on Control Systems Technology; IEEE Transactions on Control of Network Systems; IEEE Control Systems Letters.

Symposium ``Complex Interconnected Systems and Decision Making in Measure Spaces``

The Swiss chapter of the CSS is co-sponsoring the NCCR Automation symposium on “Complex Interconnected Systems and
Decision Making in Measure Spaces”

Register before 31st August to secure your place.

We are looking forward to an excellent line-up of speakers on the topics of “complex interconnected systems” and “decision making in probability spaces“.

A workshop on robust decision making in professional environments will also take place on Day 2. If you want to know how to employ your everyday analytical and social skills to address decision making problems in workplace environments, or if you have ever wondered why certain people get promotions while others remain in the same place, this workshop is for you! We will look at different day-to-day problems such as the hiring and appraisal processes.
