IEEE Switzerland and IEEE Italy sections celebrated the IEEE Day 2019 honoring the first time in history when engineers worldwide and IEEE members gathered to share their technical ideas in 1884. The IEEE Day’s theme was: “Leveraging Technology for a Better Tomorrow”.

The celebration of IEEE Day on 1 October 2019 was the 10th year celebrating this historic event!

Moreover, the IEEE Switzerland, guided by Marco Giardina (IEEE Switzerland Public Relation Officer/ IEEE Day Ambassador) and Hugo Wyss (IEEE Life Member) won the third place within the international IEEE Milestone Showcase Video Contest (see here).
